WAN optimization can eliminate a huge part of your IT infrastructure

After watching yesterday's WAN optimization slugfest and the discussion that WAN optimization companies agree on goals, not strategies, I decided to talk to Alan Saldich, VP of Product Marketing at Riverbed regarding how people need to expand their view of WAN optimization.

Sure, WAN optimization will reduce bandwidth over your entire wide area network, but that has much larger implications, for your entire infrastructure and deploying applications.
