WAN optimization competitors agree on goals, not strategies

David Spark reporting for Riverbed at Interop '09, Las Vegas, NV.

After the WAN optimization slugfest which really wasn't that much of a slugfest. It was more of an agree-a-thon. Still, with all that agreeing, all these competitors were fighting for the same dollars for WAN optimization. After the presentation, I spoke with Jordan Elbaum, an audience member and Director Enterprise Network Services at Right! Systems, Inc. and Apruva Dave, Senior Director Product Marketing who represented Riverbed in the grand agreement.

Dave said that while they all agreed on the same goals, they disagreed on the strategies to achieve those goals.
